SES Chicago Day 3 Recap: Lets get Political, Lets get Granular

After two days of intense information uptake via osmosis, I had already typed my fingers to bony stumps hacking out what seemed like an endless stream of status updates on Twitter @gprzyklenk and @marketwire and recaps of each day on this blog. Finally, day three of Search Engine Strategies Chicago 2009, and what would be my last day at the show. Lucky for me, I got out of Chicago on a delayed flight, several others couldn’t say the same due to a massive blizzard that struck the entire Midwest and Eastern seaboard. I’m thankful I stayed for day 3, because unlike other shows, the information didn’t stop as crowds thinned out.

SES Toronto Day 2: Recap

On the heels of a relatively productive first day at SES Toronto, day two delivered more of the same. With an impressive keynote address, and more sessions packed into a somewhat busier trafficked day, business certainly did pick up. As some of you probably noticed, yesterday I finally caved and relented to the hype that is Twitter, and actually started using it and <gasp> kinda like it.

WebTrends Ad Director, simplifying online marketing

Not long ago WebTrends announced the release of their newly re-branded online marketing solution they now dub Ad Director. After talking with representatives at Search Engine Strategies San Jose, it’s a bit of a departure from the intricately granular management platform Omniture Search Center provides, but might be a welcome change for SEMs looking for a more high-level strategic solution.

Being in the agency/consultation end of the pay-per-click game for a few years now, I can appreciate how hard it is to manage multiple client accounts through numerous analytics solutions. Client A might use Google Analytics, and Client B might be using Webtrends, whereas Client C might be using both! Managing logins, passwords, unique URLs and varied implementations is the last thing I want to troubleshoot, which is why acquisio SEARCH sparked my interest. Their t-shirt offer sure got my attention, not for the shock value, but because the message resonated.
