SearchBash 2009 was amazing! Not ONLY because of the nakedness

Despite Google pulling back their rumored $2M Google Dance budget for 2009, SES San Jose attendees showed up in throngs (and thongs) to SearchBash 2009, hosted by WebmasterRadio.FM.  And what a bizarre party it was, complete with official “Alice in Wonderland” theme, beachballs, naked women in body paint, and free-flowing open bar to boot.  Judging by all the tired faces and subdued enthusiasm this morning, it looks like the party was a great success.

Just a short walk from the conference center north on S First street (how confusing is that?) was a rather perplexing journey.  Yes the city is extremely clean, the city looks to be pretty interesting with boutique shops and restaurants, but the nightlife is totally dead!  Not a soul to be seen before or after our trek to the Pearl nightclub.  Outside the club, the boys from WebmasterRadio.FM hooked us up with quick entry to the club, and the madness began.

The theme being “Down the Rabbit Hole” was echoed throughout the club, with hosts dressed as characters such as the Rabbit, Queen of Hearts, and other classic Alice personas.  The most shocking part of the party were the hostesses clad in nary more than body paint, glitter, and a thong.  Oh my!  Surely would never have happened at a Google-sponsored party, I can guarantee you that.

The music was pretty decent, after a rather loud introduction.  And to help loosen people up, the first few rounds of drinks were on the house.  Then the true madness ensued, the likes of which you have never seen.  Needless to say, the male geek to attractive female ratio was in favor of the guys, so you had some of the industry’s brightest minds getting down like it was 1999.  And get down they did, for the entire night.

For that raucous party and absolutely incredible hospitality, I have to give a shout out and thanks to WebmasterRadio.FM and official sponsors Adgooroo, Findology, Litle & Co, and IdeaLaunch.

Thanks for the great party guys, and look forward to more of the same soon!

Lol, interesting title i was not expecting that to happen from a conference in all of the conferences that i have been to that has yet to happen. Sounds like they ended the conference with a huge party though.
