I agree, the content network is too mysterious. It’s unlikely Google will some day increase transparency for their own properties, but we can hope.

“what feature request would you most look forward to seeing in Adwords?”

For me it’s better targeting – specifically when it comes Google owned properties that serve truckloads of ad impressions…Gmail comes to the front of my mind. I would like to be able to target or exclude major sections of Google owned properties.

I know the beta for site targeted CPC has been out for a while, but from my understanding there was a lot of uncertainty as to whether it might be rolled out to all advertisers. Whether that is true or not, I’m not sure, but I’m excited to finally get some of my newer customers online with it once it’s publicly available.

They have demographic targeting as well, although not on the search network. It’s available via site targeting only. They pull the data from comScore:
